Day 1 pattern

My day 1 knitting is finished, but it sure is difficult to take a proper photo in the light we have these days. The colores turnes out fine even if it looks weird here. This is so much better than knitting lace shawls - short rows, and when the pattern starts to get boring it is time for a new section YAY!

it's beautiful! did you choose a new yarn? if so, what are you using?

No, it is the same yarn, but it is impossible to take a photo in todays winterlight. It starts with brown, them sort of mustard yellow. Next is light blue and finally brown again.

wow ~ it looks like it will have wide bands of color ~ very pretty ~ I wasn't sure how to imagine it in the skein but I thought the color changes would happen more often ~ I think I'll like yours more now that I see how the colors will work!

mine on the other hand ~ looks like it will be a mid-weight scarf ~ the yarn I chose DEFINITELY needs blocking ~ I'll post a pic later but I'll need some pointers on blocking since I've never done it (can I block at the end of every day or should I wait til I'm completely done) ~ all opinions gladly accepted ;)

the next one I make will definitely be a much finer yarn!

Mine will need heavy blocking too, on the photo I have my hubby to hold the knitting so the pattern shows lol:. I am not so good at blocking, but I will advise you to do it when the scarf is finished. I have bought a blocking set with wires that I use for shawls, and will use this on this scarf too. But, I think Rachel know a bit on blocking - what do you mean Rachel?? Looking forward to see photo of you knitting!

Oh yes, we'll need blocking. Mine too.

I will post more info on it when I have time. I did a report on this for TKGA Level 1 and lace shawls were a big part of it. I have a book too...

VERY PRETTY start Tone! I love the tones of brown-- ;-)

I am hoping to join you in Day 2 tomorrow. I will need to get ready for my mom to come...but I will try not to fall too far behind!
